We recommend the following guidelines when choosing a supplier for your window coverings.
1. It is better to use a dealer/salesperson that is trained in both product sales and installation hands on. (most dealers have the salesperson measure and a contractor installs). Sometimes this causes a communication gap and complicates the process.
2. Ask the dealer if he uses a Certified Installer. Kevin Woods is one of approx. 200 Hunter Douglas Certified Installers in all of Canada. Only certified installers carry ID showing proof of certification.
3. It is better to use a dealer that has a well decorated and up to date showroom. Small retail stores deal in volume, giving them more experience and give you a more personal service. Larger stores may have poor displays and no experience with products. If the dealer works from home or does it as a sideline there may be problems with all aspects of the business including delays in communication and delivery.
4. Generally a local business will be easier to deal with as they are closer to you and give you a more personal service.
